Q. Why choose Davies & Gribbin to be my personal injury solicitor?
A. For years, we have been one of the leading firms in our field and have built a first class reputation through our previous successes.
We are regulated by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA) and employ members of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), so you can be sure that you will receive the highest standards of service at all times.
With us, you will receive 100% of your compensation. Unlike some firms, we will not deduct one single penny of your personal injury compensation for our costs and, in the unlikely event that we lose, you will still not be charged.
We represent more than 3,000 people each year on this basis and have tens of thousands of satisfied clients.
Q. Will I deal with you directly?
A. ABSOLUTELY - when you make an injury claim, your details arrive at the desk of one of our team, who will then call you back and assess its chances of success.
Beware of the hundreds of Claims Management companies that will offer to handle your claim for you. They are simply middlemen who charge solicitors, like ourselves, a large fee for referring your claim and usually have no legal training.
Q. How much will my accident claim cost me?
A. NOTHING - if your claim is successful, you will receive 100% of your compensation and we will recover all our costs from the other side. Besides, we only take on your claim if we believe it has a strong chance of winning.
We operate on a no win no fee basis by way of a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) so, in the unlikely event that we don't win your case, you still won't pay our legal fees... and there are no hidden charges!
Q. Can I claim if I live outside the UK?
A. YES - as long as the accident happened in England or Wales, we can accept your claim and act on your behalf, regardless of where you live in the world!
Note: if your accident occurred in Scotland, we will refer your claim on to one of our associate firms.
Q. How do I make a claim?
A. The fastest way to make a claim is to complete our online claim form. If you would like to ask us a question first, simply request a callback or call us FREE on 0500 003 972.
Q. What happens after I submit my online claim?
A. If you gave an email address, you should receive an email requesting confirmation of your claim within minutes. NOTE - we have a strict anti-spam policy and will NOT assess your claim unless it is first confirmed by you. Once confirmed, you can expect to hear from us by telephone within 48 hours on the numbers you have provided. Please make sure that you are available.
Q. What damages can I claim for?
A. If you have been injured and someone else is to blame, you can claim compensation for your injuries, the cost of medical fees and any other losses, including loss of earnings.
If your injuries are the result of a car accident, your compensation may also include the cost of vehicle replacement, repairs, recovery and storage, retention of your no-claims bonus and retention of your insurance excess.
Q. How much will I get?
A. Unfortunately, without knowing the precise extent of your injuries, it's impossible to say. However, as an example, for clients who have relatively minor whiplash type injuries from a road accident and a recovery of about 6 months, we are usually successful in recovering damages in the region of £1,200 to £1,700.
A typical whiplash injury may take up to a year from which to fully recover. In such cases, you could expect damages of £2,000 to £2,500. In addition we will claim any other losses (e.g. wages, medical treatment, lost excesses) on your behalf.
Q. Who do I claim against?
A. This depends on the circumstances of your accident. Typical examples are:
Don't worry if your circumstances are not listed above - these are just examples. Claim Now to see if you are entitled to compensation.
Q. What if the accident was nobody else's fault?
A. If there is any doubt that the accident was NOT your fault, we won't be able to help you on this occasion. In this instance, if you have had a road traffic accident, you should contact your insurance company and follow their advice.
Q. How long do I have after my accident to make a claim?
A. You have 3 years from the date of your accident to make an injury claim. If you were under 18 years of age when the accident happened, you have until your 21st birthday to make a claim for compensation.
Q. What if I am the victim of a criminal assault?
A. If your injury is the result of a criminal assault, this is known as a CICA claim. We would then refer you to Victim Support and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
